Attack (2022) Film Story Details:

The story of Attack starts in Rawalkot where a group of soldiers led by Major Arjun Shergill (John Abraham) takes down a group of terrorists and capture their leader. After a couple of year, Major Arjun bumps into Ayesha (Jacqueline Fernandez) and after that both of them fell into love. Post some mid-air romance between the duo, a couple of coffee dates and a few pizza eating sessions, Arjun makes the decision to propose Ayesha but all of a sudden tragedy strikes the lovebirds. Major Arjun suffers critical injuries after which he gets confined to the wheelchair and has to rely on his mother even for taking bath.

Meanwhile a dreaded terrorist, Hamid Gul (Ehlam Ehasas) has a vicious ploy in his mind to destroy India. In order to counter his attack on the country, the Indian government along with a young DRDO scientist Saba Qureshi (Rakul Preet Singh), shortlist Arjun as their modern-day weapon of warfare. With the help of experimental exoskeleton technology which uses artificial intelligence, they transform him into a super soldier. The rest of the plot revolves around how this one-of-its-kind prototype sets out on a mission for a larger cause and whether he will be successful on his verge or not that forms the entire crux of the story.

Attack (2022) Film Star Cast Performance Analysis:

When it comes to hard hitting action, John Abraham is absolutely at his level best in Attack. During both hand to hand combat as well as gun firing sequences John has absolutely knocked it out of the park here. But unfortunately when it comes to the romantic scenes John has completely failed as he appeared very uncomfortable during those sequences with Jacqueline.

Jacqueline Fernandez as Ayesha doesn’t add anything to this film and her role is nothing more then a filler to increase the total run-time of the Attack.

Rakul Preet Singh has looked the best amongst the three lead actors in Attack. Playing the nerdy scientist Saba Qureshi, Rakul has proved that she is amongst those very few actresses in Indian cinema who are popular because of their talent rather then their looks.

Attack (2022) Film Positive and Negative Points:

Positives:

  • Gun combat and fighting sequences featuring John are too good to watch
  • Rakul as nerdy scientist Saba has played her role exceptionally well
  • Finally some new and fresh in Bollywood which feels interesting to watch

Negatives:

  • Romantic Sequences between John Abraham & Jacqueline Fernandez are just fillers
  • First half is over stuffed with too many songs
  • Direction of Lakshya Raj Anand is very weak

Attack (2022) Film Final Verdict:

If you are fed up of same old Bollywood copy paste and remake action stuff then definitely Attack is the film you should watch in theatres. The film has a Cyberpunk kind of vibe to it but don’t expect anything as good as Terminator 2 or Robocop from this film because otherwise you will end up getting disappointed.

Attack (2022) Film Final Star Rating:

We are giving John Abraham’s Attack a rating of 3 stars out of 5.
