by Episode 5 of MTV Splitsvilla 16 (Pyaar Ya Paisa) aired on January 17, 2026, and featured an interesting Paisa Challenge, where all the Paisa Villa contestants got an opportunity to earn split coins and improve their standings on the split coins chart. Also, a previously dumped contestant from Pyaar Villa re-entered the competition in this episode.
During the episode, the groups inside Paisa Villa were seen making vile plans to gain an upper hand in the game. A physical fight broke out between the girls during the Paisa Challenge, after which the mischief makers, Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed, had to step in to control the situation.
The episode began with dumped Pyaar Villa contestants Simran Khan and Anuj Sharma entering the Mischief Den, where Nia and Uorfi decided that Simran would get a second chance and stay on the show, while Anuj was informed that he would be permanently eliminated.
At Paisa Villa, Gullu and Gauresh discussed sending Vishu as a spy into the other group. Vishu then approached Niharika and Asmita, promising Niharika that he would play alongside her in the upcoming tasks.
Contestants later received a notification revealing the updated split coins chart, based on the dumpings that took place in Pyaar Villa in the previous episode. Since Kaira and Vishu’s predictions about the dumpings turned out to be correct, they both received 10,000 split coins each, making them the top contenders on the chart.
After receiving 10,000 coins, Khushi approached Vishu, suggesting they give their connection another chance and perform upcoming tasks together. However, Vishu refused, saying he had already made several efforts and Khushi was still not satisfied.
Simran Khan then entered Paisa Villa, where both groups tried to persuade her to join their side. Deeptanshu and Aarav decided that one of them should try to connect with Simran to strengthen their group numbers.
Soon, the contestants received another notification, asking them to get ready for the Paisa Challenge, where they’d get another chance to earn split coins. Once ready, they arrived at the challenge location.
At the venue, Nia and Uorfi allotted 10,000 split coins to every Paisa Villa contestant except Simran. After this, Kaira and Vishu had 20,000 coins each, while all others had 10,000 split coins each, and Simran had zero.
Paisa Bolta Hai Challenge Task Details
At the challenge location, Nia and Uorfi announced the Paisa Bolta Hai challenge, where contestants would perform in pairs. Eight walls were set up, each filled with blocks carrying different split coin denominations. One partner from each pair (either a boy or a girl) had to jump on a trampoline and hit a net filled with balls to make them fall to the ground. The other partner would then throw those balls toward the opposing group. Whoever caught the ball would then strike the walls to break blocks, reducing their opponents’ split coins.
By the end of the challenge, the boy and girl with the highest number of split coins would become the Power Match of Paisa Villa and be safe from the upcoming dumping.

Since Vishu and Kaira had the highest number of split coins, they were declared the first Power Match of MTV Splitsvilla 16 (Pyaar Ya Paisa). They will now be safe from the next Paisa Villa dumping, which will take place in the Power Chamber.
After the task, the contestants returned to the villa, where Gullu and his group started planning with Vishu, suggesting he should target Niharika as she could ruin his game. However, Niharika and Asmita secretly overheard their plan from outside. Meanwhile, Mohit was seen telling Anuska that Gullu was playing dirty and that he needed to form his own alliance — marking the end of the episode.
