by Madhuri Dixit appeared as the special guest in Laughter Chefs Season 3 Episode 9, which aired on the Colors TV channel and was simultaneously streamed on the JioHotstar OTT platform. In this special episode, celebrity cooks were tasked with preparing complicated dishes such as Topi Dal Pakwan and Ukadiche Modak.
At the start of Episode 9, all celebrity contestants arrived on stage dressed as various iconic characters from legendary Indian films featuring Madhuri Dixit. Aly Goni and Jannat Zubair came dressed as Devdas and Chandramukhi from Devdas, while Abhishek Kumar dressed as Prem from Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Isha Malviya appeared as Madhuri Dixit’s character from Tezaab, and Elvish Yadav dressed as Sanjay Dutt from Khalnayak. After the arrival of all 14 celebrity contestants, the first cooking battle of the evening was announced.

Cooking Battle 1
In the first cooking battle, contestants from both teams were required to prepare a complex dish called Topi Dal Pakwan.
Criteria for Topi Dal Pakwan:
- Minimum 6-inch height of Topi
- 6-inch width of outer circle of Topi
- One single unit
- Crispy texture
- Authentic Sindhi Dal
- Presentation matching the reference image shown
After the announcement of the criteria, all seven celebrity pairs began preparing Topi Dal Pakwan. Once the allotted time ended, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi tasted each dish, shared his expert remarks, and then announced the winners of Cooking Battle 1.

- Winning Teams: Team Chhuri and Team Kaanta
Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi loved the design, crispy texture, and taste of the Topi Dal Pakwan made by both winning pairs. As a result, Karan–Tejasswi and Aly–Jannat each received a golden star, and their respective teams were awarded one team star each.
After Cooking Battle 1, iconic Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit appeared as the special guest to promote her web series Mrs. Deshpande. Krushna Abhishek, dressed as Chunni Babu from Devdas, entertained Madhuri and all the contestants with his hilarious jokes.
Cooking Battle 2
In the second cooking battle, all seven celebrity pairs were given the challenging task of preparing a famous Maharashtrian sweet dish called Ukadiche Modak.
Criteria for Ukadiche Modak:
- 3 Ukadiche Modaks
- Minimum 11 Kaaliyan (pleats)
- Balanced sweetness
For this battle, all pairs were provided with ingredients to prepare Ukadiche Modak and impress special guest Madhuri Dixit, with golden stars and team stars at stake.
After the cooking time ended, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi and Madhuri Dixit tasted the dishes at every station before announcing the results.
Winning Pair and Team:
- Winning Pair: Elvish Yadav and Isha Malviya
- Winning Team: Team Chhuri
Chef Harpal and Madhuri were highly impressed by the taste and shape of the Ukadiche Modaks made by Elvish and Isha. They were awarded a golden star, and their team, Team Chhuri, earned one team star.
