MTV Splitsvilla X6 recently witnessed high voltage drama in episode 30, thanks to popular contestants Yogesh Rawat and Akanksha Choudhary. In classic Indian reality TV style, the makers exposed one of the most loved male participants, Yogesh, by bringing in his ex girlfriend Ruru Thakur as a wild card contestant.
Ever since the episode aired on the JioHotstar app and Colors TV, social media has been buzzing with debates over who is right and who is wrong in this entire situation. While a majority of viewers appear to be supporting Akanksha, a small section is still standing by Yogesh.
The show’s first wild card, Ruru Thakur, is also facing criticism online, as some people are accusing her of trying to gain cheap clout by deliberately embarrassing her boyfriend Yogesh Rawat on national television.
Since the episode aired, Yogesh Rawat has suffered a massive drop in his overall Instagram followers, with almost a 30k decrease in just two days. Meanwhile, Akanksha Choudhary has gained around 200k followers in the same time span.
Most fellow contestants on the show can also be seen taking Akanksha Choudhary’s side. Yogesh has even apologized to his fans by coming live on Instagram, but it seems he still has a long way to go if he wants to win back the audience’s trust and love.
