The Wonderfools series on Netflix is set in the fictional town of Haeseong City. It follows a group of ordinary, somewhat foolish townspeople who gain extraordinary superpowers and must defeat a mad scientist along with the group of supervillains he controls as his puppets.

Storyline
The plot centers on four superheroes named Eun Chae-ni, Lee Woon-jeong, Son Kyung-hoon, and Kang Ro-bin. They join forces to stop a dangerous group of children with even more powerful abilities, led by a mad scientist named Ha Won-do. The children regard him as their father, and the group is known as the Wunderkinder.
Three of the heroes (Eun Chae-ni, Son Kyung-hoon, and Kang Ro-bin) unexpectedly gain their powers while planning a fake kidnapping of Chae-ni. Their goal is to blackmail her wealthy grandmother, Kim Jeon-bok, into funding Chae-ni’s overseas trip.
The main antagonist, Ha Won-do, is searching for the Heart of Eternity. This artifact is held by the Child of Eternity and grants immortality to its possessor. The story contains several major twists that will leave viewers surprised.
