The road to SummerSlam 2026 kicked off on the Monday Night RAW episode that aired on June 29, 2026, from Atlantic City, New Jersey. The show started at a special time of 6 PM ET and 3 PM PT.
In the opening segment, the new King of the Ring Oba Femi had an in-ring verbal altercation with “The Beast” Brock Lesnar. Brock then hit Oba with a kick to the groin followed by an F-5. This led to Oba challenging Brock to a match at SummerSlam. Brock accepted and raised the stakes by adding the Hell in a Cell stipulation.
Also on the show, Queen of the Ring IYO SKY had a face-to-face promo battle with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Liv once again bragged about herself, calling herself the greatest Women’s World Champion of all time. The segment ended with Liv, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez ganging up on IYO SKY. Liv then laid IYO down on the mat with an ObLivion.
In the final segment of the night, “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns received a challenge for a one-on-one match for the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins. Reigns accepted the challenge and told Rollins that he would beat him at SummerSlam.
