Episode 3 of Indian Reality Show The 50 (Season 1) began with the 49 remaining contestants gathering in the arena. The Lion then announced the next arena game, where participants had to smash the furniture spread across the arena using a sledgehammer and retrieve “safe cards” to secure their safety in the competition.
Chaos erupted during the Retrieve Safe Cards game as several contestants were caught cheating, while Khanzaadi was betrayed by two of her closest friends. By the end of the game, 11 contestants ended up in the unsafe zone, leaving their fate in the hands of the 38 safe contestants.

Rules of the Retrieve Safe Cards Game
- There were 40 safe cards hidden inside the furniture spread across the arena.
- Around five contestants participated in each round, smashing the furniture with sledgehammers to retrieve the hidden cards.
- Each player could retrieve only one card at a time, and cards could not be hidden in their pockets.
- The time limit per round was 60 seconds.
- Once a round ended, contestants had to pass the sledgehammer to other players of their choice.
- Those who retrieved safe cards became safe from elimination, while those who failed were placed in danger of elimination.
First Five Smashers in Retrieve Safe Cards Game
The Lion selected the first five smashers by throwing multiple cards into the arena. The contestants who picked up the cards featuring the Lion’s face earned the first turn to smash the furniture.
The first five smashers were:
- Prince Narula
- Siwet Tomar
- Jahnavi Killekar
- Rachit Singh Rojha
- Yuvika Choudhary
Contestants in Unsafe Zone After the Game
Eleven contestants ended up in the unsafe zone after the Retrieve Safe Cards game concluded. They were:

- Arya Jadhao
- Bebika Dhurve
- Sapna Choudhary

Khanzaadi was visibly upset after the game, as her best friends Mr. Faisu and Shiv Thakare did not help her during the task. To make matters worse, her retrieved safe card was declared invalid by the game master, “The Lion,” since Rajat Dalal unfairly helped her by hiding the card under his feet.
All unsafe contestants then moved to the unsafe zone, while the safe contestants were instructed by The Lion to vote for one unsafe contestant they wanted to save. Each safe contestant received a phone to cast their vote. As the voting began, the episode ended on a cliff-hanger.
