Two intense cooking battles took place in this Lohri special episode. Although Bharti Singh was again absent due to the recent birth of her child, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi once again did a remarkable job as the host of the show.

At the start of Episode 16, all the celebrity contestants arrived dressed in traditional Punjabi outfits to celebrate the Lohri festival. Punjabi singers performed festive songs while the contestants danced joyfully to the beats of the dhol. Krushna Abhishek entertained everyone by singing Punjabi boliyan, and Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi soon announced the first cooking battle of the evening.
Cooking Battle 1
In the first battle, contestants from both teams were tasked with preparing two baskets of a popular theatre snack often enjoyed during the Lohri festival — Popcorns.
Criteria for Popcorns:
- Perfectly popped
- Crunchy texture
- One salted flavour basket
- One gud (jaggery) flavour basket
Once the criteria were announced, both Team Kaanta and Team Chhuri began preparing their popcorn baskets. After the time limit ended, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi tasted each team’s creation and announced the winners.

Chef Harpal praised Aly and Jannat’s popcorn, saying, “Zubaan Ki Ho Gayi Balle Balle!” He awarded them golden stars along with one team star for Team Kaanta.
Cooking Battle 2
In the second battle, celebrity pairs had to prepare a dish traditionally enjoyed in North India, especially in Punjab, during Lohri — Sarson Da Saag and Makke Di Roti.
Criteria for Sarson Da Saag:
- Traditional flavour
- Dardara (coarse) texture
- Signature mehendi-green colour
- Desi tadka
Criteria for Makke Di Roti:
- One roti
- Must be made by hand (traditional method)
- Perfectly round shape
Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi announced the contestants selected for the pantry run from both teams:

After the pantry run, both teams began preparing Sarson Da Saag and Makke Di Roti at their respective stations. Once the cooking time ended, Chef Harpal tasted all the dishes and declared the winners.
