by The Big Dog ‘Roman Reigns’ is back as the second biggest WWE PPV of the year SummerSlam has happened today we get to see one of the best endings to a WWE PPV in the recent years with Roman Reigns returning and attacking both Fiend and Braun Strowman. This year’s tagline was ‘You’ll never see it coming’ and after seeing that fantastic ending this tagline holds true. Also Asuka wins one of the women’s championship, Dominik Mysterio makes his in-ring debut and a women’s superstar left WWE after losing her match on the PPV today.
WWE SummerSlam 2020 Winners and Losers
1. Apollo Crews (c) vs. MVP United States Championship Match
Winner – Apollo Crews
Loser – MVP
Right before the start of this match MVP tells both Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to head to the back as he’s got this. MVP rolls Crews into an ankle lock but Crews immediately gets to the ropes. After this both Crews and MVP trade pin attempts. MVP retreats to the outside area and Crews lands a dropkick followed by an armbar. MVP fights to his feet and backs Crews into the corner. MVP misses a right hand. Crews lands a few strikes. MVP back body drops Crews over the top rope. Crews hits his head on the steel ring steps on the way down.
At the end of this match Apollo hits a Standing moonsault on MVP and went for the cover but MVP kicks out. MVP fights out of Crews’ tossing powerbomb attempt. MVP almost hits the Playmaker but Crews reverses it into the tossing powerbomb picking up the win and rertaining the United States Championship.
2. Bayley (c) vs. Asuka Singles Match for SmackDown Women’s Championship
Winner – Bayley
Loser – Asuka
Bayley came for this match accompanied by Sasha Baanks. In the early going of this match Asuka hits Baayley with a DDT outside the ring and it was devastating. At the final moments of this match, Asuka was charging towards Bayley and Bayley got out of her way and Asuka hits Banks after which Bayley rolls up Asuka and pins her for the win.
3. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford (c) vs. Angel Garza and Andrade with Zelina Vega Tag Team Match for RAW Tag Team Championships
Winners – Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford
Losers – Angel Garza and Andrade
Before the start of this match Kevin Owens joins the commentary desk. Angel Garza superkicks Motez Ford and he bumps to Zelina Vega and she fell off the apron. Angelo Dawkins tagged Ford in and Ford hits Garza with a Frog Splash from the top rope picking up the victory.
4. Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville No DQ Match (Loser Leaves WWE)
Winner – Mandy Rose
Loser – Sonya Deville
In the early stages of this match Mandy Rose completely dominated Sonya Deville. Deville hits Mandy with a chair to the guts and bumps her head with the announce table. Mandy hits Sonya with running knee twice and then hits her with her finisher after which Mandy hits Sonya with another running Knee and pins Sonya for the win. Sonya has to leave WWE.
5.Seth Rollins vs. Dominik Mysterio Street Fight
Winner – Seth Rollins
Loser – Dominik Mysterio
Earlier tonight backstage, Dominik takes a promise from his father Rey Mysterio that no matter what happens tonight he will not interfere in his match tonight. Rey Mysterio comes with Dominik Mysterio accompanying Dominik for his match against Seth Rollins. Rey Mysterio’s wife and Dominik’s mother was watching this match from backstage.
Dominik puts a kendo stick on Rollins throat and jumps through a table with him set up in the ring. Later in the match Rollins started dominating Dominik and Rey’s wife came on the ramp. Rey starts pleading to his wife not to get involve and in the whole confusion both Murphy and Rollins started beating Dominik with the Kendo sticks.
Rey finally gets involved but Rollins manages to handcuff him with the ring ropes and he started moving towards Rey’s wife but Dominik came to the rescue and takes out both Murphy and Rollins. Dominik hits a 619 to Rollins and went for a Frog Splah but Rollins gets his knees up and hits Dominik with a Curb Stomp in front of Rey picking up the win.
6. Sasha Banks (c) vs. Asuka Singles Match for RAW Women’s Championship
Winner – Asuka
Loser – Sasha Banks
At the end of this match Asuka was charging towards Banks (Just like against Bayley earlier tonight) but Bayley dodges her and Asuka hits Bayley with a elbow after which Bayley falls off the apron. Banks went for the Banks Statement but Asuka turned it into an Asuka Lock and Banks tapped out.
7. Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton Singles Match for WWE Championship
Winner – Drew McIntyre
Loser – Randy Orton
In the middle stages of this match, Drew McIntyre puts Randy Orton in Figure Four Leg Lock reminding us of Ric Flair. At the end, McIntyre was going for a Claymore but Orton ducks it and went for an RKO but McIntyre rolls him up pinning Orton for a win.
8. Braun Strowman (c) vs. The Fiend Falls Count Anywhere Match for Universal Championship
Winner – Bray Wyatt
Loser – Braun Strowman
In the end of this match Braun Strowman takes out a box cutter from the tool box and cuts the ring to expose the wood underneath. But Fiend gets up and he hits him twice with Sister Abigail on the exposed wood and pins him for the win.
After The Fiend win Roman Reigns comes from behind and he hits Fiend with a spear after that Roman hits Strowman with a Spear outside the ring and lights went out as SummerSlam 2020 PPV goes off the air.
