England vs Pakistan 1st Test Match All 5 Days Updates, Win Prediction 5 August 2020

Pakistan tour of England 2020 has finally started and the first test match between ENG vs PAK is already underwaay as Pakistani side is batting first after winning a very crucial toss earlier in the day. Babar Azam is inching towards another ton in the first innings making himself a clear contender for the Fab 4. Shan Masood is also complimenting him well as he is just four runs behind his 50 by the end of Day 1. These two batman and the next two have a lot of work to do if Pakistan wants to post a competitive score on the board in this match in the first innings.

Talking further about this match well weather will play a very important role in deciding the result as we have already seen half of the day 1 has already been washed up due to rain and we are expecting same happening in the next four days as well. So a 300 – 350 score in the first innings for any team will be quite competitive but as we know that Pakistan is playing with one extra bowler so looking at their weak batting lineup a lot will depend on Barbar Azam and Shan Masood if PAK wants to go anywhere close to that mark.

Teams:

England Playing XI – Rory Burns, Dominic Sibley, Joe Root (c), Ben Stokes, Ollie Pope, Jos Buttler (wk), Dominic Bess, Chris Woakes, Jofra Archerr, Stuart Broad, James Anderson

Pakistan Playing XI – Shan Masood, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali (c), Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Shadab Khan, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Abbas, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah

ENG vs PAK 1st Test 5 August 2020 – 9 August 2020 Day by Day Updates

Day 1 – Pakistan 1st Innings – 139/2 – 49 Overs – Stumps

Day 2 – Pakistan 1st Innings – 326 All Out – 109.3 Overs – England 1st Innings – 92/4 – 28 Overs –  Stumps

Day 3 – England 1st Innings – 219 All Out – 70.3 Overs – Pakistan 2nd Innings – 137/8 – 44 Overs –  Stumps

Day 4 – Pakistan 2nd Innings – 169 All Out – 46.4 Overs – England 2nd Innings – 277/7 – 82.1 Overs

Result – England won by 3 wickets

In the end as far as our prediction is concerned we are fully expecting this to be a competitive contest as winning the toss will giving Pakistan the heads up they need but still England is the clear favorites in my opinion as their batting is much stronger as compared to the visitors and not to forget that Pakistan has made the major mistake of going with one extra bowler instead of batsman and this decision might come to bite them back in the later stages of this match.
